This week? Maybe $5

I went to Jackson's Rare Guitars in Sydney today ... 50 year old telecasters galore. My gosh.

I wanted to plug one into a Matchless amp, just to hear, but they had no lefties. Why are we so persecuted?!? WHY!!!

I think I already told you I'm a lefty but I play guitar right handed -- so I've never experienced six-string persecution. But I do remember those big #2 pencil lead stains on the side of my left hand. And even worse, those desks in high school that had the small writing surface mounted on the RIGHT side of the chair. So at least in a small way I can empathize...

But you know, buying a custom-built left handed relic wouldn't be all bad.

you're offering???

I also saw one of John5's (from Marylin Manson) '55 blonde tele for AU$89,950. The case has the original set of spare strings in it.

I wouldn't say offering...more like "suggesting" or "encouraging". Some kind of word ending in "ing."

tempting?

Maybe one day my mexican tele will look like a relic. Besides, when I'm 77, it will be a 50 year old relic!

Not if its finished in Polyurethane. A buddy of mine has an early 80's Poly finished Mexi Strat....looks brand new.

My Nitrocellulose Relic already looks more aged after a year.
