new member/old guitar

hello everybody!
I just recently purchased a '85 or '86 peavey vortex 2 (my first USA-made guitar), which seem's to be all original, except for the strings, of course. Yes, it's the one in my avatar......
Any one of you that may have ANY info on this particular model, please share....
The peavey forum has virtually no info on this model, but I was able to find out from them that it's body is poplar, and the "polyglide" fretboard is a phenolic polymer.....
I seem to think it to be a rare '80's piece, since it was only made for two years, or less...
