hey badger,

If Gibson were to put out a special run of ES series guitars what would you like to see in particular? (Finish,Pickups,etc...)

I'd like to see the thin block 60's style neck on a ES-3xx with perhaps a tiger stripe cherry or tobacco sunburt....maybe with all gold hardware.

Basically something that feels and sounds like this ...but looks more like this

That would be cool.
How about a mono ES-355 finished in one of Gibson's rare 60s custom colors...sparkling burgundy, pelham blue?

Great suggestions - maybe we should all write in to the marketing department!

What are your thoughts on why Gibson has dedicated a microsite (as they put it) to the ES specifically? Could that possibly have anything to do with why a ES guitar is not included in the GOW program?

If I'm going to spend more than $1K on a guitar it better have a paint job I'm going to love forever. ES-3xx models never looked cool to me unless they were sunburst. I despise the British flag painted one I've seen the guys from Oasis play.

Then again, if it were free.... I'd take any paint job.

OK, how's this for a compromise...

The mono ES-355 in Gibson's rare "goldburst" finish from the early 80s? Check it out...
