Fender buying Kaman

Just an interesting note that Kaman is selling it's musical instrument division to Fender.
"Kaman makes Ovation and Hamer guitars, as well as Gretsch drums, and is the exclusive distributor of Takamine guitars."

Interesting. Does Hamer still make any guitars in the US? I thought they placed ads from time to time about a US custom shop...if so, does this deal include Hamer's US facility?

A buddy of mine has an all black Hamer Steve Steven Model...totally 80s!. I borrow a thinline Ovation acoustic/electric from my singer on gigs where I don't have my own gear. It is the most uncomfortable guitar to sit down with.... but it does have the action/neck like an electric...so I can rip on it when necessary.
