claptons guitar

First off all i am new to this forum and i have been playing guitar for about 10 years .Secondly , do fender do a Eric Clapton issue stratocaster and does any one have one ?Can anyone tell me anything about it and how it plays.Also I am looking to buy a strat in the near future and i am wondering what would be a good buy (uk) .I am looking to spend about £500 ish and it will be for gigging.Heavily influenced by Clapton and Hendrix

Fender has been selling Clapton signature model Strats for some time now, and the guitars have changed over the years. The current model can be found here:

Mainly, this guitar is different from most other Strats because of its electronics (active mid-boost and TBX circuits). You said you would be gigging with the guitar, so these unique features may be useful to you. However, its street price appears to be $1500 (750 pounds) so it comes in above your price range.

thanks ,i have done and they arnt that expensive as i thought .I will have a look in british stores to see if i can pick one up!
