I waited 5 minutes but I couldn't get your song downloaded. Running a new Dell laptop on a high-speed wireless network...I suspect the problem may be with the blackoutmetal server?

Metalismetal -
Sounds Awesome! What guitar did you use to record with and what are you playing through? After hearing that I can see why you are interested in the MTM2 - why that one when there are so many upper end ESP / IBANEZ guitars that would be perfectly suited to this type of music? Reminds me a bit of LOG or maybe just the singer?

I'd like more info on the music - do you have a myspace?

G

Musically I thought it was very cool. Great riffs, great guitar tone and I like all of the changes in the song.

I know this comment will date me, but I just can get past the "I'm ripping my throat apart" style that a lot of metal front men are taking. I'd rather listen to someone sing. Remember, the metal from my formative years was Maiden, Priest, etc.

I see what your saying there dude, i appreciate somre more melodic singing as well. But id say on the whole metal for me is about aggression - and of course the whole throat ripping stuff is more or less the very personofication of that. It really depends on why you listen to the music you listen to, i have very eclectic tastes depnding on my mood and what i want to listen to.

The stereotypical cookie monster stuff is definatly an acquired taste!

For Gibson - the rigs used were a Washburn Custom through a Randall T2 and a Fender with EMG combo through a Marshall Mode 4. I actually own a few ESPs already, theyre one of my fave makes of Guiatr.

Bands myspace is MySpace.com - BlackOut [SUB-HUMAN - Coming Soon] - Reading/Wycombe/West London, UK - Metal / Thrash / Tropical - www.myspace.com/blackoutblack

Love the cookie monster reference! My tastes are also eclectic...I can go from metal to blues to jazz to classic rock to reggae...with metal I made it as far as Pantera, and still love to listen to them. You get a little bit of cookie monster with them, but also a lot of melodic singing. But a lot of what has come after Pantera is a little outside of my range.

I'll check out your site this weekend.
