I have a 98 MIM tele that's probable close to the chrome red color you're considering...I really like the finish on this guitar. It's red but definitely has some yellow/orange overtones to it, and can look different as lighting changes. As adaptable said, the finish is almost certainly polyurethane, and the color has not changed at all. |
