The guitar has what Hofner called active electronics. It has fuzz and treble circuits built into the guitar and works off a 9-volt battery installed in the back. It can be a bit tempermental, probably have some wires loose. Once time is on my side I plan on doing some work on the guitar and get some of the small issues fixed. The trouble I am having is getting any info about the guitar. It amazing how little info is out there regarding Hofners.
