Dee Why....I still have mates there. I lived in Manly on East Esplanade & Victoria Parade. One of my mates is the human jukebox at the Manly Boatshed...check him out because when he's sober he is probably one of the best undiscovered guitarists I've ever seen.....we're talking Tommy Emmanuel good. The guy who owns the pub, Gough, told us stories of him jamming/teaching Kieth Urban, Ben Harper, among others. I jammed with him for a few hours, but by the last hour, he was too wasted to play.

I listened to Seu Jorge this weekend while watching the ocean from my resort room on the Big Island....it was appropriate music...although at times I felt like it was a bit over done & cheesy (like Changes)...I switch to the island music station after listening to the whole album. I spent some time in Brazil and was turned on to Caetano Veloso and Milton Nascimento....that's amazing music. Check out Caetano's version of Billie Jean (which no doubt inspired Chris Cornell version which was covered a couple of weeks ago on American Idol). Caetano also has an entire album of Mexican Mariachi songs done in a Bossa Nova style...it's better than the Mexican versions, IMO.
